Our winemaker dinner series continues with the Elyse winery dinner on Thursday May 6 at 7pm. The Plumed Horse will host Ray Coursen, Elyse owner and winemaker . Hors d'oeuvres will be followed by a five course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Peter Armellino. Mirroring the eclectic variety of wines Elyse produces, the wines served will include Rhone blends, a zinfandel, a petite sirah, and a port.

“Plein Air Watercolors by Norman Dana Carter”: May at Gallery Saratoga

Saratoga, Calif. –– May 1, 2010 –– Well-known local watercolorist Norman Dana Carter exhibits his watercolors during the month of May at Gallery Saratoga. Many of Mr. Carter’s paintings are scenes of the Santa Clara Valley. The show opens on May 6 and ends on June 6.

A reception for the artist will be held Saturday, May 8, from 1 - 5 pm at the gallery. The public is invited, and there will be complementary refreshments.

Gallery Saratoga is located at 14435A Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Gallery Saratoga features fine art by local artists in watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, photography, silk painting, turned wood, ceramics, jewelry, gourd art and more.
