Yesterday's Pet Parade had perfect weather, 60 or so dogs, a lizard, a rabbit and some stuffed toys. It was a great day of good will and friendship..everyone sharing their pet stories and anxious to parade their pet's talents.
Many , many thanks to resident Dorothy Angus, her father Dick and her niece Rebecca. They totally ran the day and did all the work to make sure it was successful. Jenni Taylor led the parade in her clown costume.
The next event, the third Saturday in June, is Saratoga's first Heritage Day. Many activities are planned and in particular I would like to thank the volunteers from the Historic Museum on Saratoga-Los Gatos Rd. in the Village for their enthusiasm in making the day unique and exciting. The 35 historic characters who will be strolling through our downtown, all residents of Saratoga, festivities at the museum itself and the great Red House Band playing in the Bank of America parking lot all will make this day terrific. Please plan to come Saturday June 19th..check out details on our Web site, Saratogavillage.info or the City Web site Saratoga.ca.us.
One last note. The event for Susie on May 31st at Montalvo, will be a celebration of her life, not a memorial.
